The Arch Angel Window

The largest of the unique windows of First Church Shows the Ascension. Like all the windows in the church, this window is constructed using sometimes as many as four layers of glass to attain the effect the artist was striving for. It is well thought out in design. A close scrutiny of the window invites the viewer to recognize some of the individual disciples and Mary. A careful observer will recognize that the Spirit of Jesus remains with the disciples even as He ascends to his Father. The cherubs around Jesus are thought to be the faces of the donor's children. The outer details of the window echo the architectural themes of the building.
